Legislative Advocacy Resources Available to BOG State Societies
  • Advocacy Slides and Handouts: The Academy’s BOG and Legislative Advocacy teams have created a PowerPoint presentation highlighting key AAO-HNS grassroots programs. These slides can easily be customized to recognize state otolaryngology society volunteers (e.g. BOG leaders, State Trackers, ENT PAC donors, and PROJECT 535 key contacts). If you are interested in a personalized slide deck for your upcoming meeting or other advocacy handouts, please contact govtaffairs@entnet.org two weeks in advance.
  • Advocacy Visits: Interested in having a member of the Legislative Advocacy team at your next state society meeting? If so, AAO-HNS staff may be available to offer an advocacy update to your members and/or host a booth. Please contact govtaffairs@entnet.org with your request at least 4-6 weeks in advance.
  • Advocacy Grants: The possibility of providing small grants to BOG state societies to help facilitate state capitol visits and lobby days may exist. While many of the larger societies already host these grassroots events for their members, some of the smaller societies may be interested in this opportunity if funding is available. Please email govtaffairs@entnet.org if interested!
